In the announcement of Malaysia’s Budget 2021 presented by our Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz, the government has continued to allocate a budget of RM500million over 5 years since 2020, for the first 100,000 SMEs applicants who have subscribed to solutions offered by the appointed technology solution providers (TSPs) to digitalize their businesses. The government will subsidize 50% of the invoice value in the form of a matching grant, up to RM5,000! =)

Here’s how you can start digitalizing your business and claim your Matching Grant up to RM5,000:

SME Eligibility:

  • The company is at least 60% owned by Malaysian.
  • The company registered under the relevant laws of Malaysia
  • The SME has been in operation for at least one (1) year
  • Company operation in one (1) year, company required to have a minimum annual sales turnover of RM 100,000.
  • Company operation > two (2) years, company required to have a minimum annual sales turnover of RM 50,000 (preceding two (2) consecutive years).
